I read the following periodicals loosely defined as "magazines", as I
include online periodicals:
(in)secure (free, PDF based)
http://www.net-security.org/insecuremag.php
hackin9
http://www.hakin9.org/
Uninformed (really more of a modern PHRACK like online zine)
http://www.uninformed.org/
IEEE Security And Privacy

Honestly though, for me conference talks(video and/or slides available
from most conferences), netcasts, mailing lists, and RSS feeds (such as
the security bloggers network and CERT bulletins) are tend to be much
more useful and up to date. There are good books on most topics for
getting up to speed, and the aforementioned resources (plus your own
research) for staying there. It's still nice to have some dead tree
magazines to browse on the john, and hackin9 (more practical) and IEEE
Security and Privacy(more academic) fill that niche decently well. Just
don't expect anything too deep or too fresh from either.
