Re: [WEB SECURITY] Query: Are Firewalls obsolete in an Enterprise Web Service Environment?

I think, there's a brief trope for the disccusion about 'network
firewall' and 'application firewall'.

Considering the enterprise information system as a house, we always
installed door to protect the house from intrusion or thief, and also,
if we keep money or treasures in the house, we mostly buy a
safe-deposite box to keep.

The DOOR is like the 'network firewall', it protects all the goods in
the house from generally intrusion, while safe-deposite box protects
the particular goods---money, that's all.

Thanks and regards,
Albert
