[WEB SECURITY] WiKID Strong Authentication Server 3.0 released with updated web-app APIs

Greetings:

The WiKID Strong Authentication server is a dual-source two-factor authentication system that uses asymmetric encryption in a software token to authenticate users based on possession of the private and knowledge of a PIN.

Because the tokens communicate with the server, we can perform mutual https authentication, thwarting network-based Man-in-the-middle attacks. Combining SSL, two-factor authentication for session and strong mutual authentication makes for a fairly secure Web-application.

We have updated the C# dll, java, python, php and ruby network clients. They can be downloaded, along with the server and token clients, from the corporate website:

http://www.wikidsystems.com/downloads/
or the sourceforge site:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=144774

Each package includes an example file demonstrating use of the API.

Sincerely,

nick
