The most common usernames in the US (after sci-fi and fantasy
character names...)
would probably be English first names followed by common last names
(followed by
combinations of first and last names such as "johnsmith" and
"billjones").
From the US Census, here are the most common first and last names,
ranked by popularity:
http://www.census.gov/genealogy/names/dist.female.first
http://www.census.gov/genealogy/names/dist.male.first
http://www.census.gov/genealogy/names/dist.all.last
The last names are what you'd expect (smith, johnson,
williams, jones, brown, davis, miller, wilson, moore and
taylor are the top ten last names).
