Greetings:
We have just released a WiKID Firefox extension. You can download it
from the sourceforge site along with the server:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=144774. If you
prefer to not set up a server, you can test it on our extranet here:
http://www.wikid.com/signup/index.jsp.
Description:
A strong authentication tool using public key encryption to request &
receive one-time passcodes from within Firefox. Requires FF 1.5+ and the
Java plugin.
The extension uses semantic web technology (Thanks to simile.mit.edu!).
When on a WiKID enabled web-site, a WiKID icon will appear in the lower
right hand status bar. Clicking it will invoke key generation for first
time users, the site/domain registration process for unregistered users,
or a PIN entry box for registered users. Once the PIN is entered, the
one-time passcode is automagically entered into the password field. The
WiKID token supports multiple WiKID domains, eliminating the need for a
token 'keychain'.
This version is beta. Mutual/host authentication and domain deletion
are coming. The private keys are stored in WiKIDToken.wkd in your
Firefox profile directory.
WiKID Server update:
There have also been a number of bug fixes on the server. If you have a
build below 29, please test the latest.
Enjoy,
Nick
